Basement Conversion Spring 2019
- Tuesday 12th February 2019
We are excited to announce that the Surgery has been successful in our application for our basement conversion. With the support of NHS England, we have had plans approved to make internal changes inside the building including the transformation of our derelict basement into a suite of consulting rooms.
As two adapted houses, we have always had challenges using the limited space we have effectively. With the new space this project will provide, we are able to explore or ambitions of becoming a GP Training Practice, expand our service and provide improved disabled access on the ground floor.
From March 2019, work will commence which is expected to last approximately 16 weeks. During this time, the car park at the surgery will be inaccessible. We ask that patients avoid driving where possible, and be considerate of local residents if parking on the street.
Unavoidably, there will be some additional noise in the surgery. We will try our best to plan this to minimise disruption, but we would appreciate your patience and understanding when attending the practice.
We have chosen ‘The Basement Company’ as our contractor due to their extensive experience working on both domestic and commercial projects, in particular the similar basement renovation at The Hollies Medical Centre. We hope you share our excitement for our new consulting rooms, which will be similar to the pictures below, showcasing the finished project at the Hollies Medical Centre.
