Carbohydrate counting videos
For people living with diabetes who manage their condition with multiple daily injections of insulin, accurate carbohydrate counting is an important part of controlling blood glucose levels.
In this series of short instructional ‘how to’ videos produced by Sheffield Diabetes Dietitians at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, different ways of carbohydrate counting are demonstrated. The videos also include information about how to calculate the carbohydrate content in a serving of food.
The videos have been designed to support patients. They can also be used to support learning and training of specialist and other healthcare professionals.
